This morning we headed over to a Bikes & Trikes play date at the house of a woman from the Topsail Tykes play group (she's a nanny for a boy just a bit younger than Dan). She lives in an older neighborhood so big tall pine trees provided lots of shade for the kids. Dan has neither a bike nor a trike, but he does have his favorite "race car" that he loves to push around. (I think a tricycle might be in his near future since his 3rd birthday is right around the corner.)
We rode/pushed around the neighborhood, fed the ducks in the pond, came back to the house for cooldown and snacks, then headed out again. We started at around 8:30 and it was already about 90 degrees and 95% humidity so I was a sweatin' fool. The boys had a great time, though, and it was nice to do an outdoor activity for once!
