On Saturday, I headed off to Weight Watchers while my mom and Layne attempted to climb the Stairway to Heaven aka Haiku Stairs (they were turned away by the security guard at the base, unfortunately). The scale was my friend this week--I'm one pound away from pre-pregnancy weight! There's still a little ways to go after that, but I'm feeling good and fitting into all my old clothes, which is what really matters. On Saturday night, my mom took us out to dinner for Layne's birthday (she turned 21 on Wednesday), so I suggested one of my favorites, town in Kaimuki. It was delicious as always (and I probably gained back half the weight that I've lost so far!). Then for dessert, we walked down Waialae Avenue to JJ Bistro and French Bakery. We ordered from the dessert display case and brought our treats home to enjoy. We especially loved the Chocolate Raspberry Pyramid. If you live here and you feel like treating yourself, make the drive to Kaimuki and you won't regret it!

This morning, my realtor called at about 7:45 to tell me that the appraiser was coming over at noon. Yikes! We went into a cleaning/straightening up/hiding stuff frenzy! My mom and sister even packed their luggage and hid it away. The appraiser was in and out in like half an hour, but at least the house is a lot cleaner! (We're refinancing while the rates are low, so that's the back story.)
Then my sister and I hit the commissary while my mom watched Daniel and then my mom and I ran to Lowe's while Layne took the baby on a long walk. I think three people is the ideal number for taking care of an infant! At Lowe's, we finished buying all the new stuff for our downstairs bathroom/laundry so our contractor can start work on it tomorrow. It's the last room in the house that I really just can't stand, so hopefully I'll see a big improvement when it's done. I'll post some before and after pics.
And finally, Daniel had a good, long bath before going to bed tonight. Somehow in all the excitement of yesterday, we totally skipped his bath. So he had a smelly case of "cheese neck" this afternoon. (Zach is convinced that the area underneath his triple chin has an eau de Havarti quality--sorry if that's too much information!)
Pre-bath:
Now after my nice, relaxing weekend (HA!), it's time to go back to work tomorrow!
