Happy Easter!

We woke up bright and early yesterday morning and headed to the sunrise service at Soundside Park in Surf City (just across the bridge, about 5 minutes from our house). Several benefits to the sunrise service: It was short, it was to the point, and it was outside, so Dan could run around when he got restless in his stroller! After church, we came home and Zach took a nap while Dan and I played outside and took a walk. Zach had spent Saturday weeding and was eaten alive by something so he spent most of Saturday night itching and not sleeping, poor guy.

Later on in the day, we had some friends over for a barbecue on our deck with our new patio furniture. Kelly and Will are from Zach's old squadron in Hawaii and are here for work, so it was great to see them again. Our neighbors, Jill and Dave, also came over with their baby (boxer), Bella. Zach was the head chef and cooked up burgers, brats, and chicken, while I contributed salad and dessert. Everyone raved about the burgers (Zach mixed a ranch dressing packet, an egg, an onion, and bread crumbs in with the meat and it was a big hit) and we all had a great time at the end of a beautiful day.

Dan hunted a few eggs, but mostly he just liked opening them up and throwing them on the ground. He was just happy to be outside and running around with lots of people to play with. Hope everyone had as relaxing an Easter as we did!

Here's a long-distance shot of me, 20 weeks pregnant. We had to break out the wide-angle lens (ha!):

That doesn't even look like a maternity dress - just some stretchy material! I remember really liking that phase of pregnancy. My morning sickness was gone and my tummy was finally round enough to look pregnant versus just bloated! :-) Has Dan noticed at all yet?
