Dan seemed to have a great time, especially watching the tractor pulling the hay wagon. He also managed to find the grossest, most decaying pumpkins ever that he just had to stick his little fingers into. Disgusting! Zach did find a couple of good carving pumpkins so we need to get busy on that.
After the ride, we needed sustenance. The wait for the restaurant was about a mile long (apparently, it is very good down-home Southern cooking) so we went into the gift shop instead and bought some fudge for the trip home. We also bought some delicious apple butter and barbecue sauce. All in all, it was a great day and I'm looking forward to going back there for other seasonal activities.
This one is my favorite. He looks so relaxed with Daddy:

I took Abigail to Mike's Farm when we were at New River and she absolutely loved it - I'm sure the weather was a lot nicer there than it was at the pumpkin patch here, 92 degrees and sunny =(
haha what's up with the vaseline-lens Golden Girls lighting? i know you didn't do it on purpose; it just kind of cracked me up :)
So jealous of your pumpkin patch trip! We were going to go a few weeks ago but it's been too cold to enjoy it! (40 degrees, rain and wind? No thanks!) We missed Apple Fest in Wisconsin this year, too, since our hosts had the flu. No fun fall festivals this year! Boo!
What do we make of Dan's attraction to the grossest pumpkins in the patch?
He has already changed so much since you guys left!
